The Iberian lynx
The Iberian lynx is a very rare animal. It lives in the area of Andalucia in Southern Spain. It has got reddish-brown or light grey fur, with spots like a leopard. It has got black hair on the tips of its ears and what looks like a beard around its face. It has a slim body with long legs and a short tail. The male lynx is about 1 metre tall and weighs between 12 and 20kg. The female lynx is 88 cm tall and weighs around 13kg.
The Iberian lynx is rarely seen in the day because it always hunts at night. It usually eats small animals such as bird, mammals and reptiles. Its favourite foods is rabbits. There are not many rabbits left in Spain, so it sometimes eats young deer and wild sheep.
There are only about 100 Iberian lynx that still lives in the wild. It is an animal in danger of extinction.

Holidays and food

A writing model:
Halloween and Food
Halloween is a popular holiday in England, but people celebrate Halloween in many countries, too.
Halloween is celebrated on 31st October and people carve and decorate pumpkins and they put a light inside. And they call the pumpkins Jack O' lantern. Also, children wear costumes and play trick or treat.
In Halloween, people eat sweets, pumpkin cakes, biscuits.
A popular food are pumpkin cakes. In a pumpkin cake, there is a pumpkin, there is some sugar, there are some eggs, there is some flour and there is some milk. There isn't any salt and there aren't any other vegetables.
